leopard gecko life span
Bearded dragon vs. ______ Snake?

im thinking about a corn snake but then again bearded dragons are cool. Pros and cons of each one?
O ya how can i convince my mom to let me get one allready have leopard gecko life span of each one and everything thanks!
how bout a turtle too? what kind all that stuff

Cornsnakes are the best to go because they need little care rather than the beardie, it needs to eat different things like vegetables and ect. And the cornsnake can just be fed small mice and their enclosure doesnt have to be big. Beardies need pretty big enclosures.

Cornsnake can live pretty long ranging from 15-20+years! They are the best way to go for you i think!

Convince your mom by proving you’ll be more responsible by doing more chores and ect. My mom hated when i had my 2 ball pythons because she was scared of them. You just have to show her they’re harmless.

Good Luck!!

Leopard Geckos can be kept easily as pets and make a nice attachment to a lizard group. The best choice for you is a captively bread example.

The price ranges from $20 to as high as $3000. Sizes range from 3-4 inches for new babies and up to 12 inches for some of the really large ones. The typical size of most adult geckos is 8 inches.

The life of a gecko can be as lengthy as 20 years or even more in captivity. The nature of care is deterministic of these lasting life spans.

A happy gecko is a long lived one. As soon as the decision to raise a gecko has been made, getting essential  suggestions about how to contain  and care for it is essential  to make sure it is a healthy time for the gecko and its guardian.

As soon as you have brought home your gecko, constructed its housing, set up its nutritional needs, and let it settle in, it is time to get to know each other.  So in general, be sure not  to handle your geckos on a regular basis until they settle in for a few days and are at least 6 inches long.

One terminative note about gecko handling basics.  When your gecko is  big enough, it is best to take a seat on the floor, and allow your gecko to crawl around through loose fingers hand-over-hand for 10 to 15 minutes each day until acclimated to the touch.

This procedure takes somewhere around  seven days. Do not, ever hold the gecko’s tail, or it might be dropped, though quite often it can grow back in under two months.

What is the usual life span for a leopard spotted gecko?

THANKS A BUNCH!

Herp-Dud : on what basis do you make that claim? I just sent Ron Tremper a 30 year old male right after Christmas. And Ron told me that he also has male geckos that are 30+ years and still fertile.

normal life span is about 15 years, but with optimal care they can live well into their 20s

………although the Giant and Super-Giant leopard geckos do seem to have considerably shorter lifespans……usually only about 7-10 years. More data needs to be collected before this can be 100% confirmed. But the first Super Giant leopard gecko ever produced was a leo named “Moose” and he only lived 6 years, and he was the most well-taken care of gecko on the planet for a while.
